Collection: Jon Houghton

Jon Houghton, a Thornbury, Ontario native, studied Fine Arts at Mount Allison University and later in Greece, focusing on Classical painting. He completed his training at Ontario College of Art and Design in 2008 before opening a studio/gallery in Collingwood. Since 2016, Jon has been part of Untamed Things, a painting group inspired by Tom Thomson, dedicated to exploration and plein air painting with annual trips and exhibitions. Known for his bold colors and graphic style, Jon’s oil-on-canvas works primarily depict scenes from Georgian Bay, the Niagara Escarpment, and Toronto.
